Incredible save vs. Montreal Nov. 29, 2022

On Sept. 1, 2020, with Vancouver facing elimination in their playoff series vs. Las Vegas, news was swirling before the contest that rookie goaltender Thatcher Demko was being considered for the start between the pipes in place of their regular starter Jacob Markstrom.

Sure enough, Vancouver head coach Travis Green tabbed Demko for Game 5, and the team's 2nd round pick in the 2014 Draft was ready to rise to the occasion.
With a clutch 42-save effort, Demko backstopped Vancouver to a 2-1 win to give the team new life. He also became just the 15th goalie in history to make his first start in a playoff elimination game and win.
Thatcher would go on to start two more games in the series and this card salutes his all-time playoff record .985 save percentage (min. 3 games).
